I have been a involved with the Society for Creative Anachronism since about 1980, when I attended my first event, the decennial of the Barony of the Northwoods (Lansing, Michigan).
My lord, Wolf Dietrich von Hohenwald and I lived in the (then) Principality of Drachenwald from 1981 to 1986. We reigned as Prince and Princess in 1983. Thus, I am the 6th Viscountess of Drachenwald. Here we are, during our Reign :
I was Seneschal of the Principality from 1983 to 1985. The accomplishment I hold most dear is the connection I helped to form with the developing Society branch in Sweden. It became the Shire of Nordmark, advanced to Barony and is now a Principality, since Drachenwald became a Kingdom.
In 1986, we came back to the mainland USA. We lived in the Kingdom of Caid from March 1986 until June 2000 when we moved to the Kingdom of An Tir.
I currently live in the Barony of Wyewood. It was a shire when we moved here and early in 2013 became a Barony! We have not been active, though.
I've held any number of positions since moving back to USA. From October 1986 to December 1987, I was deputy to Mistress Hilary of Serendip, when she was Steward. I was Caid's Kingdom Seneschal twice: 1988-90 and briefly, November 1993 to June 1994.
In The Barony of Gyldenholt, my local group in Caid, I was Guildmistress for Newcomers. I have also twice been Guildmistress for Scribes.
I was elevated to the Order of the Pelican in November 1988 by TRM's of Caid, Brian and Alysandra .
My persona is that of a noble Irishwoman of the late 11th Century.
My interests included calligraphy and illumination, needlework, early music and SCA organization and management. My favorite manuscript styles are Celtic and gothic. I have taught a number of classes for Collegium Caidis.
With Viscount Wolf, our household is Haus Hohenwald. We have not been particularly active in An Tir, so we have not added to the haus since moving here. We are only four gentles, with two living in two other kingdoms.
